Loading Events

Using a mixture of research, evidence based practice and lived experience the session will explain the most commonly reported eating challenges seen in autism which include Avoidant and Restricted Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and other restricted eating patterns such as Anorexia Nervosa. The session will also cover pica and rumination disorder.

Part 1 of the session is aimed at exploring why eating challenges occur in autism and part 2 is focused on what support and interventions are appropriate for autistic young people and adults.
