Autistic Adult training for NWL Social Care Professionals
25 January @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pmFree
A training session delivered by Andrew Carpenter.
Andrew is a trainer, consultant and Expert by Experience in Personalisation, Autism, Support Brokerage and Social Prescribing.
He’s #ActuallyAutistic and provides bespoke autism training, especially around mental health. He’s been commissioned by the NHS to give training across NW London.
Funded by NHS NW London CCG, this webinar is aimed at Social Care Professionals who are interested in improving their understanding of the needs of autistic people and finding out how they can adapt their practice and approach to make services more accessible and effective. The training will reflect the diverse needs of this population, including the needs of autistic patients.
This is your opportunity to learn or refresh your knowledge on autism and supporting autistic people in the NW London boroughs of Harrow, Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
There will be a Q&A section towards the end of the session. Please take this opportunity to ask any questions in the chat to Andrew or the other Experts by Experience on the panel.
We hope this will be an opportunity to have an open discussion about autism and supporting autistic people.
