Understanding ADHD is a 6-week course that focuses on increasing parents understanding of their ADHD child/teenager and looking at how best to support them, The course provides in-depth information as well as providing a safe space for parents/carers to ask questions and connect with others. The 6 sessions will include the following topics:-
- Introductory session
- Overview of ADHD and the opportunity to learn from a young ADHD person
- Understanding the impact of Executive Functioning and ADHD
- Understanding Behaviour
- Understanding Emotion Dysregulation
- Understanding Sensory and Communication Differences
- ADHD and the Family
Each session is for two hours and the courses are held either online in the evenings or daytime at CAAS. Booking is required.
