SUMMARY:Understanding Autism Daytime (Thursdays)
DESCRIPTION:Understanding Autism is a 6-week course that focuses on increasing parents understanding of their autistic child/teenager and looking at how best to support them. The course provides in-depth information as well as providing a safe space for parent/carers to ask questions and connect with others. The 6 Sessions will include the following topics:- \n\nIntroductory session\nOverview of autism and the opportunity to learn from young autistic people\nUnderstanding Communication Differences\nUnderstanding Sensory Differences\nUnderstanding Behaviour\nAutism and the Family\n\nEach session is for two hours and the courses are held either online in the evenings or daytime at CAAS.
