Ciaran Feighan
Youth & Family Support WorkerI joined CAAS in 2018 as a Youth and Family support worker. My background consists of working within youth services to promote mental wellbeing and resilience. Within my role, I combine individual mentoring work combined with facilitating group programs for young people. I mainly work with young people based in Harrow under the Heads Up project. My role within the project is to provide young people who have a diagnosis (or are on the pathway towards seeking a diagnosis) with coping strategies to self-manage, alongside positively reframing their understanding around their respective diagnosis.
I greatly enjoy facilitating groups which include Why Try, CALMS, Film Group, Creative Club and Siblings group as this allows me to experiment with a range of approaches and observe how the young people navigate relating to each other in a range of contexts.
Additionally, I am a qualified Dramatherapist providing young people with a safe space in which to explore a range of feelings creatively alongside developing their ability to self-regulate and contain more difficult emotions.
I enjoy film, badminton and socialising.
