Family Support Worker

My involvement with CAAS started almost 6 six years ago, supporting with drop ins and later co-facilitating courses for parents. I have always found warmth and compassion amongst the family at CAAS.

My training and background is as a teacher for children with learning disabilities and autism, during which time I gained a masters in autism and later secured Autism Accreditation for the school. My area of interest is supporting children to manage their behaviour when their communication skills are not as developed. I worked closely with parents and have developed training for staff.

I joined CAAS in 2022 as a family support worker and thoroughly enjoy each day. I am passionate about my work with families and young people and learn a great deal from each and everyone of them.

When I’m not at work, I relax with cooking and baking, but most enjoy being with family and friends. I hope to meet you at the centre soon.
