Fundraising - Terms & Conditions
We’re so pleased that you’re supporting Centre for ADHD and Autism Support (CAAS) by taking part in an event for us! We want to help you every step of the way. Please do take a moment to read through the following information to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Table of Contents
For those with a charity place, or those taking part on a charity sponsorship or mixed fundraising basis
- I understand that this event is organised by a third-party provider, not by CAAS. I’ll make sure to read and follow any terms and conditions provided by the event organiser.
- I confirm that I’m medically and physically fit to take part and understand I’m participating at my own risk. I know that CAAS can’t be held responsible for any injury or illness related to my training or participation in the event.
- I’m happy for CAAS to share my name and email address with the event organiser and, if needed, with others involved in managing the event.
- I understand I’ll need to complete the event organiser’s registration process once they contact me. I know this is essential to secure my place. If I don’t complete registration by the deadline given by CAAS, my place may be cancelled and the registration fee won’t be refunded.
- I understand that my registration fee is non-refundable under any circumstances and doesn’t count toward my fundraising total.
- I understand that charity places are non-transferable and can’t be moved to someone else or a different event.
- I’m committed to raising at least the minimum fundraising target for my chosen event and will send all the money I raise to CAAS within 4 weeks after the event.
- I know that CAAS may need to cancel my charity place if I don’t meet my fundraising obligations or follow the terms of this agreement.
- I understand that all donations made for CAAS are held in trust and that I’m legally responsible for ensuring the charity receives all funds raised.
Fundraising Deadlines
To help CAAS plan and support the charity’s work effectively, I agree to raise at least:
- Running Events – 50% of the fundraising target 2 months before the event
- Ultra Challenges – 50% of the fundraising target 4 weeks before the event
- Skydiving – £500 two weeks before the jump date (This is when CAAS is invoiced for the jump. If I haven’t met the fundraising target—£395, £450, or a team target—I can reschedule to allow more time to fundraise.)
- All other events – 50% of the fundraising target 1 month before the event
Please note: Gift Aid can take 8–10 weeks (sometimes longer) to be processed, so it unfortunately won’t count toward your fundraising target.
If You Can’t Take Part
Life happens, and we understand plans can change. If you’re unable to take part, please let CAAS know as soon as you can by email.
Deferring Your Place
If I need to defer, CAAS will do their best to support this if:
- I’ve raised at least 50% of my fundraising target
- I haven’t deferred this event before
- I’ve contacted CAAS before the deferral deadline (no later than the Friday before the event)
For those with their own place or taking part on a self-funding basis
I understand that this event is organised by a third-party provider and not by CAAS. I’ll take time to read and follow the event organiser’s terms and conditions.
- I confirm that I’m medically fit to take part and understand I’m joining this event at my own risk. I know that CAAS can’t be held responsible for any illness or injury that may occur during my training or on the day of the event.
- I understand that any registration fee I’ve paid goes directly to the event organiser, and their terms apply to my entry.
- If asked, I’m happy to provide CAAS with confirmation that I’ve secured my place with the event organiser.
- I’ll do my best to raise as much as I can to support CAAS and work they do.
- If something changes and I’m unable to take part, I’ll let both the event organiser and CAAS know by email as soon as I can.
- If I need to defer my place, I understand it’s my responsibility to contact the event organiser directly. I know that any deferral is at their discretion and subject to their terms. I’ll also keep CAAS updated so they can carry my fundraising over to the following year and continue supporting me with my efforts.
